A PERSON was treated for burns after a car was "totally destroyed" in a blaze earlier this morning (Tuesday, October 26).
Firefighters from Bridgwater tackled the fire in Shovel Lane, North Petherton, shortly before 6am.
A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Fire control received several 999 calls reporting a car on fire outside a property.
"One fire engine was sent and on arrival confirmed this vehicle was well alight.
"Crews extinguished the fire using two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and one foam jet.
"The car was totally destroyed by fire and the cause was accidental.
"Crews also administered first aid to one person suffering from minor burns."
