A TRACTOR and a hedge cutter caught fire in a field near Bridgwater yesterday afternoon (October 7).
Two fire engines, a water carrier and a 4X4 vehicle from Street and Bridgwater were sent to the incident around 1.30pm.
The cause of the fire was accidental.
"Upon arrival crews confirmed there was a fire involving one tractor and one hedge cutter well alight," said a spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.
"Crews set to work to extinguish the fire using the light pump from the 4x4 vehicle.
"Both the tractor and hedge cutter were 100% damaged by the fire."
