A NUMBER of buses in Somerset will be CANCELLED today, amid ongoing staff shortages.
Buses of Somerset has announced a series of cancellations 'due to ongoing staff absence relating to sickness and Covid 19'.
The services affected are the 21 and 21A, between Taunton and Burnham-on-Sea.
A spokesperson for the bus company said: "The following journeys are cancelled: 7.06 Burnham to Taunton 7.45 (from Bridgwater), 8.40 Taunton to Bridgwater, 14.01 Bridgwater to Burnham, 14.36 Burnham to Taunton (15.15 from Bridgwater), 16.10 Taunton to Burnham, 15.31 Bridgwater to Burnham, 16.06 Burnham to Bridgwater.
"We’ve done all we can to minimise disruption, our drivers are working rest days where possible and coming in earlier/staying later to cover journeys," the spokesperson.
"Huge thanks to them. Thank you to our customers for your understanding and continued support."
It comes just days after services in and around Taunton were severely disrupted due to the problem.
