Chilton Trinity School in Bridgwater GCSE results

Like other schools across the country, exams were cancelled at Chilton Trinity School with results being awarded through a process of centre assessed grades set against a national standard and approved and awarded by the exam boards.

The school wanted to give special mention to Dovydas Kvetkauskas who achieved five grade 9s, three grade 8s and an Level 2 Distinction*; Myla Gill with five grade 9s, one grade 8 and an Level 2 Distinction*; Alesha Hewart with three grade 8s, a 7 and an Level 2 Distinction; Isaac James with eight grade 9s and Vincent Marsh who achieved seven grade 9s.

There were also those students who they said have made "fantastic progress" in their learning over their time at Chilton Trinity School, including Danielus Sileikis, Ewelina Tkaczyk, Charlotte Lazowski, Okan Kaynak, Saffrom Byrne-King, Marta Dos Santas, Brooke Bonney and Louis Stokes.

These are students who have achieved well despite the challenges presented this year.

The school said there are also countless further examples, and are proud of every student with all of the young people going on to a course in September.

Headteacher, Mr Newell, said: “We are immensely proud of all the work and achievements of our students, especially after such a difficult and disrupted year.

“Our teachers have worked tirelessly to ensure students are all able to progress onto further education and study, and we look forward to seeing what they will achieve in the future.

“There will be some people, and within the national and local press, who may question the validity of the results; please be assured that they are robust and are an accurate representation of students’ capabilities. Indeed, this current year group, more than any other, has had to overcome challenges no other students have faced. They have been resilient throughout and should be immensely proud of what they have achieved, as should the whole Chilton Trinity community .”
