AS if rain soaked yesterday wasn't bad enough, we're in for another wet day across Somerset.

Most of the county has disappeared under a band of rain on the Met Office's weather map.

We can look forward to a wet and breezy day, with rain persisting across most of the county.

At times we can expect heavy downpours.

Into the afternoon, the rain is likely to fragment into more showery bursts, and the odd sunny spell could develop.

Showers will likely ease later on and become more scattered through the evening, clearing towards the west overnight, allowing some clear spells to form in the east.

Breezy winds will begin to ease.

Tomorrow (Friday) will be a drier day for most of us, with sunny spells.

The odd scattered shower remains likely, but will be lighter and less frequent than recently.

A band of rain will cross the county tomorrow night.

Then it will be unsettled with sunshine and heavy and possibly thundery showers over the weekend
