The Board of Directors announced the news yesterday (May 6).
A spokesperson for the Chamber of Commerce said: "We would like to thank Stephen for his significant contribution to the Chamber through this most challenging of periods.
"In this transition period, the Chamber team will be closely supported by the Board of Directors, and both Chair Graeme Crosbie, and Vice Chair Emma Warren will be available to respond to any questions you may have.
