VILLAGERS in Nether Stowey have overwhelmingly voted to have a greater say in the future of their community.
In a referendum held yesterday (Thursday) they plumped to adopt the Nether Stowey Neighbourhood Plan.
Their decision will allow Nether Stowey parish to decide some local planning applications currently handled by Sedgemoor District Council.
Of those who voted in the referendum, 338 were in favour of the plan, with 55 opposed.
The turnout was 34.32 per cent.
