THE already low Covid infection rate in Somerset continues to fall.
Two of the districts in the county council area now have rates below 10 cases per 100,000 people.
The rates in each district based on the latest rolling seven-day figures are:
- South Somerset 13.1 cases per 100,000 people (slightly up from 12.5 the previous day).
- Somerset West and Taunton 8.4 cases per 100,000 people (down from 9.7).
- Sedgemoor 8.9 cases per 100,000 people (down from 11.4).
- Mendip 17.3 cases per 100,000 (down from 19.9).
In the latest 24-hour period, there were 15 positive Covid tests in the county council area - six in South Somerset; four in SWT; four in Sedgemoor; and one in Mendip.
