DO you remember when the dragons came to Taunton?

We’ve been having a look back at the Taunton Deane Dragon Trail.

Dragons were starting to invade Taunton in April 2014 as part of a charity initiative across the town.

Artists were starting work after the arrival of the first two models, which would form part of the Taunton Deane Dragon Trail.

Somerset College, which sponsored a dragon as part of the scheme, took delivery of its dragon on St George’s Day.

Deputy head of art and design Matt Cox said: “We’re delighted to receive one of the first Taunton Deane Dragons. Art and design students are being invited to submit their designs to decorate the dragon.

“The students are really excited about this project, and we’re looking forward to seeing some really creative designs that will inevitably cover many of the functions that are studied at the college, from painting to surface design.”

The winning design went on display at the college.
