THERE have been 40 positive Covid-19 tests in Somerset in the last 24-hours.
Both Somerset West and Taunton and Mendip had an increase of 12 new cases.
Sedgemoor had nine new cases, while South Somerset only had seven.
This brings the total number of cases, since the start of the pandemic, to the following:
- Somerset West and Taunton - 5,761
- South Somerset - 4,959
- Sedgemoor - 5,002
- Mendip - 3,251
The rate of infection (based on a seven-day rolling average) is falling in all districts. South Somerset's rate of infection is 64.2 per 100,000; Mendip's is 64.9; Somerset West and Taunton's is 52.9 and Sedgemoor's is 113.7.
