Weekend sees 18 Covid deaths in Somerset
A TOTAL of 18 people with Covid-19 died in Somerset over the weekend, according to the latest Government figures.
Of those, one was in South Somerset; eight in Somerset West and Taunton; six in Sedgemoor and three in Mendip.
The deaths from any cause are of people who had tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days.
The total number of people with the coronavirus in the county council area to have died since the start of the pandemic has now risen to 574.
Of those, 136 have been in South Somerset; 171 in SWT; 132 in Sedgemoor; and 135 in Mendip.
