TWO Bridgwater parks are being upgraded thanks to more than £23,000 of investment from Sedgemoor District Council.
A new wheelchair friendly roundabout and sensory panels are due to be installed at Coronation Park in Bridgwater by the council to provide some fun for children with additional needs.
The council said the new equipment will be accessible from tarmac pathways and located slightly further away from the existing equipment to allow for quieter play.
The project will cost £15,165 and is being funded by Sedgemoor District Council and a grant from Bridgwater Town Council.
Work is due to start on the project middle of May.
The council said some new junior swings and cradle swings are also going to be installed at Crowpill Lane play area in Bridgwater.
The works are due to start in March and will cost in the region of £8,400. The park will remain open during the works.
