ANOTHER five people with Covid-19 are reported to have died in Somerset in the latest daily figures.
Two people died in Mendip, two in Somerset West and Taunton and one in Sedgemoor, according to information released by the Government this afternoon.
They had all tested positive for the virus within the past 28 days.
There were no coronavirus-related deaths recorded in South Somerset in the 24-hour period.
The total number of Covid-19 deaths confirmed in the county council area since the start of the pandemic has now risen to 189.
Of those, 30 have been in Mendip; 65 in Sedgemoor; 45 in Somerset West and Taunton; and 49 in South Somerset.
