DOZENS of 'cheeky' university students have bared all in a bid to scoop top spot in an annual 'Best Bum' competition.

Not even a pandemic and two national lockdowns have stopped students at a top university from stripping down and baring their backsides in the Best Bum contest, run by student newspaper The Tab.

The cheeky contenders, who hail from across the country, have come up with some creative ideas to show off their tushies against the best backdrops in Cambridge - from the famous Bridge of Sighs, to the stunning King's Chapel.

SANTA HATS: Alice and Elsie

Two of the students, Alice and Elsie, have gone for a festive theme, wearing nothing but Santa hats as they drape a string of fairy lights over their bare bodies.

And English student Clemmie most likely shocked a few people who were hard at work in the university library - as she posed butt naked in among the shelves of books.

STAIRWAY: Angus, Matilda and Shannon

Meanwhile, St Johns' students Angus, Matilda and Shannon give a new meaning to "Stairway to Heaven" - as they pose on a spiral staircase in the glowing sunset.

Voting is now open for round one of the Cambridge Best Bums competition; the winner is due to be announced over this weekend.
