A manhole collapsed last night, causing long traffic delays.
A manhole collapsed on the A39, between Dunster and Carhampton, blocking the road around 6pm yesterday (November 23).
Openreach are repairing the manhole today (November 24).

There will be temporary traffic signals in place until tomorrow (November 25).
An Openreach spokesperson said: “We have traffic management in place on the A39 near Carhampton so that we can repair an underground duct.
"We expect this work will be complete by Wednesday 25 November, if not before.
"We’d like to thank local residents for their patience while we complete this essential safety work."
