THE rate of infection of Covid-19 across Somerset continues to rise.
The latest seven-day figures show an infection rate of more than 100 per 100,000 people in all four districts in the county council area.
Over the seven day period, there were 125 positive tests in Mendip, at a rate of 108.1 per 100,000 population.
In Sedgemoor, there were 202 new confirmed cases at a rate of 164 per 100,000.
There were 161 positive tests in Somerset West and Taunton, at a rate of 103.8.
South Somerset had 246 new confirmed cases at a rate of 146.1.
The total number of cases in each district are Mendip 670; Sedgemoor 1,284; SWT 1,281; South Somerset 1,169.
The figures in some of those districts may appear lower than previously reported because the Government has altered the way it counts the cases.
