A WOMAN has been rescued after her car veered into a ditch - trapping her inside.
She was treated by ambulance crews after the incident on Burtle Road, East Huntspill, Highbridge.
Two fire engines from Burnham-on-Sea and Bridgwater, as well as a heavy rescue vehicle from Taunton, attended the incident at 6.17am this morning (November 18).
A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said: "We received a call from police reporting a vehicle that had left the road with a female still inside it.
"On arrival the incident commander confirmed that a single electric powered vehicle had left the road and become partially submerged in a water filled ditch.
"Crews quickly got to work to stabilise the vehicle and isolate the power to the car, to safely rescue the female who was treated by ambulance crews."
