ALDI is set to open its brand new store in Bridgwater on Thursday, October 1 at 8am.

The new store on Northgate road will replace the existing store on Eastover and will be run by store manager, James Spry, along with a team of 23 staff.

As part of Aldi’s investment in communities across the UK, the Northgate store will bring three new job opportunities to the area.

Mr Spry, said: “We’re really looking forward to opening the new Aldi store here in Bridgwater.

"It’s set to be a great day and it’ll be lovely to welcome local customers into the new store and provide them with access to affordable, high quality food.”

Additionally, the new Aldi store is calling on local charities and foodbanks in Bridgwater to register with Neighbourly, a community engagement platform that links businesses to charitable organisations in the local community.

Local charities that register will be able to collect surplus food and perishable products, such as fruit, vegetables and baked goods, up to five days a week.

Any charities in the area that would like to partner up with the new Aldi store should email aldi@neighbourly.com.

The new store will be located on Northgate, Bridgwater, TA6 3EU and will be open Monday to Saturday, 8am to 10pm, and Sunday, 10am to 4pm.
