A LONG-SERVING school assistant has been recognised for working 50 years at the school.
Ginia Tottle started working at Enmore School in January 1970, and in that time she has worked as a cook, classroom assistant, caretaker and is still a lunchtime supervisor.
She ended her period of shielding to say goodbye to the Year 6 children who were able to mark the occasion by presenting her with a silver plate, a medal and a bouquet of flowers.
A spokesman for Enmore Primary School said: "Her commitment to the school has been remarkable.
"She started working at Enmore before most of the current teaching staff were born!"
