THE headteacher of a Burnham-on-Sea school has retired after 11 years of leadership.
Janet Sadiq, headteacher of Burnham-on-Sea Infant School, has taken early retirement after 11 years at the helm. She bid goodbye to students and staff on Friday (July 17).
A spokesperson for Burnham-on-Sea Infant School, said: "After 11 outstanding years our headteacher at Burnham-on-Sea Infant School, Mrs Janet Sadiq has taken early retirement.
"Mrs Sadiq has dedicated her time and enthusiasm to the smooth running of the school during these years and will be sadly missed.
"A socially distanced outdoor assembly took place for those staff and children who were in School, where she received lots of good wishes and gifts from both staff, parents and children.
"Everyone from our school community wishes her a happy retirement."
