A 'NERVOUS' horse was freed by firefighters after becoming wedged in a hedgerow.
A fire engine and a specialist rescue team were sent to the incident in South Moor Lane, Chilton Polden, at 8.43am today (Sunday).
Due to the animal's nervous disposition, firefighters decided to wait until a vet arrived before attempting to rescue it.
The vet duly arrived on the scene and sedated the horse to prevent it injuring itself or the firefighters.
Once the sedation had taken effect, the crews worked with small tools and alongside the vet to release the horse.
