THERE'S been a new confirmed case of coronavirus in Somerset for the third day running.
The infection was recored in the Mendip district of the county council area.
It was reported in the daily figures released by Public Health England for the 24-hour period to 5pm yeterday (Saturday).
Over the same timescale, NHS England said there were no coronavirus-related deaths in the county.
The latest new case means there have been a total of 794 confirmed cases of Covid-19 detected in the county.
Of those, 66 have been in Mendip; 222 in Sedgemoor; 308 in Somerset West and Taunton; and 198 in South Somerset.
