THE brave and hard-working staff at Bridgwater Community Hospital were treated to a delicious authentic Indian curry this week courtesy of a local takeaway.

Nurmiah Choudhury of the family-run Moghul Indian Takeaway based on St John Street felt inspired to give something back to say thank you to all of the amazing healthcare workers at Bridgwater Community Hospital for their courageous work during the coronavirus pandemic.

Having called the hospital to make the appropriate arrangements for a safe delivery, on Tuesday (June 2) Nurmiah and his team of helpers wheeled through a trolley with several containers filled with scrumptious Indian dishes to the canteen.

There they set up so that all the staff could enjoy a free Indian takeaway meal in the canteen.

The unmistakable aroma of authentic Indian cuisine filled the cafeteria, and the staff were thankful for the tasty treat during a stressful time at the hospital.

Mr Choudhury said: "I just wanted to do something to say thank you for all the fantastic work the hospital staff are doing and I am delighted everyone enjoyed the meal."
