THIEVES damaged a marquee and bins at a temporary coronavirus testing site.
The crooks also stole lighting and sports equipment from the Withdean sports complex in Brighton last night.
The incident is believed to have happened at about 8.30pm.
Detective Sergeant Sebastian Day said: “We want to hear from anyone who may have seen or heard anyone acting suspiciously in the area.
“Please contact us if you can help our investigation.”
“Anyone who witnessed what happened is urged to report online or call 101, quoting serial 847 of 20/05.”
The Withdean sports complex, in Tongdean Lane, is currently being used as a "hot site" for people with mild coronavirus symptoms.
Any patient with Covid-19 symptoms and a need to see a GP will be given an appointment at a so called ‘hot site’ rather than their own practice.
These are formed by a group of practices coming together and identifying a single dedicated site to offer patients from their practices face-to-face consultation following their assessment.
