THE number of new confirmed coronavirus cases in Somerset fell below ten for the first time in three days.
After two days of sharp increases in infections, the county experienced another rise - this time of seven reported cases.
All but one of the four districts in the county council area reported more cases in the 24-hour period to 5pm yesterday (Friday).
The county patch has now seen a total of 663 people with Covid-19.
Of those, 244 were in Somerset West and Taunton (up two), 175 in South Somerset (a rise of two), 180 in Sedgemoor (an increase of three), and 63 in Mendip (no change).
