A NUMBER of stunning drop-tops will be going up for auction next week.

Charterhouse Auctioneers in Sherborne are busy gearing up for their online classic and vintage car auction, on Saturday, May 30, which includes a range of classic drop-top cars.

“With the Coronavirus restrictions starting to be lifted in England and the sun coming out it is a great time to buy a classic convertible, especially with low interest rates giving little return on investments,” said Charterhouse's Richard Bromell.

“This is the time of year when classic car enthusiasts emerge from winter slumber and I think there are many car people itching to get out an about.

"With most classic car shows and meetings being cancelled we will see an increase of classics out and about in the towns, especially at the weekend as owners look for an excuse to drive their treasured cars.”

There is an old car trade saying is “when the top comes down the price goes up”, but in the Charterhouse online classic car auction there are some cracking convertibles many of which are estimated at way less than a modern second hand car and some being sold without reserve.
