A MAN is set to stand trial accused of causing the death of a woman in a crash in Somerset last year.
Emma Summerall from Midsomer Norton died after being involved in a two car crash on the B3139 in Shepton Mallet.
Ian Rowland, aged 50, of Brookside Road, Combwich, is set to stand trial accused of causing her death at Taunton Crown Court.
Rowland is charged with causing the death of Emma Summerell by driving a mechanically propelled vehicle - namely a Vauxhall Vectra - without due care and attention on April 5, 2019.
Rowland appeared at Avon and Somerset Magistrates Court on Wednesday, February 25 and is next due in court in Taunton on Monday, May 30.
