WITH two shows on one night, Haygrove School’s 2020 musical production had something for everyone.
There were 52 young performers involved, with the school’s talented students divided into two casts to perform both Aladdin Jr, and a 20-minute abridged version of Matilda the Musical. The original productions of both are world-wide musical hits and these school-friendly adaptations proved to be equally popular with the parents, friends and staff who bought tickets to sit in the school hall and be thoroughly entertained.
Acting head of drama at Haygrove, Louise Hannaby, said: “With nearly 100 students and staff involved both on stage and back stage, including the band, the set designers and the tech team, this production has been a huge affair and a total rollercoaster ride.
“I am so proud of what everyone has achieved, our students have gone above and beyond the pull together two amazing shows.”
