All services between Carlisle and Barrow have been cancelled due to forecasted strong winds.
On Sunday, Northern Rail has announced that all lines between north and south Cumbria will be blocked due to the weather:
⚠️ Due to forecasted high winds between Barrow-In-Furness and Carlisle all lines will be blocked on 09/02 ⚠️

Northern Rail has also confirmed there will be no alternative bus service:
"Lines have been closed due to the forecasted high winds between Barrow-in-furness and Carlisle on Sunday 9th.
"All services between Barrow-in-furness and Carlisle have been suspended on Sunday 9th.
"Due to the high winds expected on Sunday there is no train service and there will be no alternative road transport available in either direction.
"Customers are advised not to travel on this route on Sunday the 9th February. Northern apologise for the inconvenience caused by this disruption.
