TWO people had to be taken to hospital following a 'high speed collision' car crash near Wells last night (Wednesday, Febraury 5).
Emergency services were called out to Long Street in Dinder at 10.12pm, with reports that one person was trapped within each of the vehicles.
When firefighters arrived they got to work stablising the cars and began efforts to rescue the casualties using hydraulic cutting equipment.
A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue confirmed that they successfully removed both people, having had to remove the roof from one of the cars.
The two people were then treated by paramedics and taken to hospital by ambulance.
