ALL lanes on the M5 northbound near Burnham-on-Sea following a crash.

One lane and an entry slip road were closed at around noon today (December 19) after the incident at J22 (Burnham-on-Sea) on the M5. 

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police, said: "Police were called to support the other emergency services at a collision on the M5 northbound between junctions 22 and 21 at about 11.21am Thursday, December 19.

"Lane closures were put in place to enable fire and ambulance crews to work at the scene and recovery of the vehicles. There were no injuries believed life-threatening or life-changing."

A Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said three vehicles were in a collision at around 12 noon.

Firefighters made the vehicles safe.

One person has been taken to hospital by ambulance.

A spillage of fuel and anti freeze is being cleared up.
