THE British Car Auctions centre in Bridgwater is looking to expand.
The centre, based on Bristol Road, is looking to extend its centre onto neighbouring agricultural land.
The new extension would include a single storey extension to the valet building, additional vehicle parking and storage, fencing and lighting.
BCA Bridgwater, based at Dunball, wants to build on a 1.6 hectare site which adjoins the existing auction centre to the west.
The site in question is a heavily grazed field largely consisting of improved grassland.
The company says the development will 'enhance the efficiency of the business model by providing better circulation of vehicles throughout the site and the various processes leading up to auction'.
The site will accommodate in the region of 650 parking spaces.
