THE British Film Institution (BFI) Film Academy returns to Somerset Film, based at The Engine Room in Bridgwater in the new year.
BFI Film Academy will once again be working in partnership with BAFTA and Pinewood Film Studios to provide an action packed week of training for young filmmakers.
Bridgwater charity, Somerset Film, is encouraging young people aged between 16-years-old and 19-years-old to apply for the academy, which will take place in January.
Participants will benefit from mentoring, practical workshops, masterclasses, screenings and the chance to create two short films under the guidance of professional filmmakers, and have the chance to meet industry professionals.
You do not need to be studying media to apply and you will gain an Arts Award qualification as part of the academy.
BFI film academy costs £25, however bursaries are available and the fee can be waived.
If you are interested, complete the online application form at somersetfilm.com/initiatives/bfi-film-academy.
The deadline for applications is at midday on Monday, December 16.
