DETAILED plans have been submitted to build 90 new homes north of Williton in West Somerset.

The application, which also includes associated infrastructure, public open space and a play area, relates to a site to the east of Doniford Road next to the new Aller Mead development.

The proposal is for a mix of units, including open market, shared ownership and rental properties.

This would include a mix of semi-detached and detached houses, with a minority of terraces and maisonette-style flats.

The site layout has been designed around a central tree lined avenue which will run from the site's principle entrance from Doniford Road, down to the south of the site where a public open space and area of equipped play will be located.

The majority of car parking spaces will be provided on private driveways, with a minority of allocated parking courts and off-street parking.

One parking space per bedroom has been provided for each dwelling with a small number of additional visitors spaces, while 22 of the plots have been provided with garages.

The garages will each have electric car charging points, while 13amp exterior sockets will be provided for dwellings with curtilage

parking.

Extensive pre-application discussions have taken place with the council this year.
