A PERSON was cut free from a vehicle after a crash in the early hours of this morning (Friday).
Emergency services were called to Whitnell Corner, near Wells, at around 2am.
Crews from Shepton Mallet and the Heavy Rescue Vehicle from Glastonbury were sent to reports of a crash.
"On arrival crews confirmed that one vehicle was off the road in a ditch with one person still inside," said a spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.
"Liaising with Paramedics, crews released the casualty by removing the roof of the vehicle using hydraulic cutting equipment and stabilisation equipment."
