SCENE: Police tape has been put up outside The Palace nightclub
A MAN suffered a fractured skull and eye socket in an alleged assault outside a nightclub in Bridgwater in the early hours of this morning (Thursday, October 10).
Police officers were called to reports of an assault shortly before 3am outside The Palace nightclub in Penel Orlieu.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: "The victim - a man in his 20s - suffered a fractured skull and eye socket.
"Shortly before there were reports of an altercation involving a number of men."
Police enquiries into the incident are continuing.
