MYSTERIES and ciphers lie at the heart of the latest exhibition at Ilminster Arts Centre, which runs until October 5.

Presented by the talented contemporary textile artists of South West Textiles Group, ‘Secrets and Codes’ has been created in response to the 100th Anniversary of the founding of G.C.H.Q., and focuses on the intrigues that ‘Secrets and Codes’ inspire.

Members of the group have responded individually to the theme, bringing their own personalities and perspectives to work that ranges from humorous to historic.

The artists are pictured standing in front of ‘Rosetta Stone’, a work by Rita Fisk, a member of South-West Textiles, who sadly died recently.

The pieces come together as a stimulating group exhibition using a broad range of techniques including weaving, printing, stitching and felting. To find out more visit themeetinghouse.org.uk
