SOMERSET Film will be hosting two exciting artists as part of the Somerset Art Weeks Festival exhibition.
Suki Chan and Floriebunda will be showcasing their work from September 21 until October 6 2019.
Suki Chan is an established artist, who has been commissioned by Langport based visual arts charity, Somerset Art Works, to create a short film that explores memory and place.
Drawing upon the stories of pilots, her new work MEMORY is a visual and aural journey that links the axons and neurons found inside brains to the distinctive topography of Somerset.
Taunton and Bath based emerging artist, Floriebunda, has had the opportunity to collaborate with Somerset Film’s digital arts initiative Ignite to create a new piece of art for the exhibition. Part of the purpose of her residency at The Engine Room is to produce an installation exploring cyber culture, identity, mental process and Avatarisation.
Natalie Collings, Assistant Producer at Somerset Film, said: “We cannot wait to see the innovative digital work that has been produced by Floriebunda and Suki Chan. Somerset Art Weeks Festival is always a highlight of the visual arts calendar.”
The exhibition will be open from 10am until 4pm, Monday to Friday, at The Engine Room in Bridgwater.
