POLICE are not currently investigating the fire at the former Somerset Bridge School in Bridgwater.
The former school was devastated after a huge fire broke out on Monday night (September 2).
Firefighters were on the scene through the night as the flames engulfed the former school.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: "A building was damaged by fire in Hamp Bridge, Bridgwater, on Monday evening, September 2.
"Fire investigators were unable to gain access to the former Somerset Bridge School as it was not safe. The cause of the fire is unconfirmed and there is no ongoing police investigation."

One of the former school buildings had been damaged in a suspected arson attack the month before.
