VICTORIA Park Bowling Club held their annual charity quiz for the Somerset Unit Radiotherapy Equipment at Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton.
The sixth annual event raised £1,026, which will be supplemented by a further £500 from Lloyds Bank. This brings the grand total raise in the last six years up to £6,500.
Gail Wills, a member of Victoria Park and also a keen supporter of SURE organised the event which was supported by 21 teams.
Derek Thorne set the questions while Roger Evans was the evening’s quizmaster.
Gail Wills thanked Total Care in Bridgwater for help funding the evening, welcomed support from club members and friends including Jane Baxter, Les and Pat Snow, Michella Bishop and Nesta Davey, along with Jamie Willis from Lloyds and Damian and Rob from Tesco Express.
