A PURITON couple celebrated their platinum wedding anniversary this week.
Brenda and Jeffery Barnes marked 70 years of marriage on Tuesday, September 3.
Originally from London, the family moved to Nailsea in 1962 when Jeff joined BAC who were recruiting staff to work on Concorde.
After their retirement in 1989, Brenda and Jeff moved to Puriton, where they still live.
The couple has two daughters, five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
