ONE of the main routes in Bridgwater town centre will be closed for a nearly week later this month.
Eastover will be closed for five days from Sunday, August 18 while BT Openreach carry out installation of poly duct in the carriageway - as well as locating and excavating a blockage in the existing duct.
The closure is set to cause disruption in the area as the road will be closed 24 hours a day during that time.
The week before another town centre road is due to shut for roadworks, although the disruption will not be as keenly felt as the Eastover closure.
George Street is closing from Monday, August 12 through to Friday, August 16, again 24 hours a day, while SSE carry out work on street lighting.
