SOMETHING quite rotten is going to be happening in Weston-super-Mare in September as fans of Punk will be raising the roof of the Grand Pier’s pavilion.

They will be able to reminisce about and relive the anarchic energy of Johnny Rotten and co because The Sex Pistols Experience is one of three tribute acts who will be performing at Punk on the Pier on Friday, September 27.

So, sharpen up your safety pins, finely hone your mohawks, polish your piercings and prepare for a rip-roaring night of classic sounds from the 1970s and 80s.

The other acts on the bill are The Ramonas and The Clash Tribute London, and between them, there is a treasure trove of classic tracks to recreate and perform.

Hits such as London Calling, Rock The Casbah, God Save The Queen and I Wanna Be Sedated will be ensuring that the seaside rocks in the event, which is being staged by ConciergeUK.

Hollie Otley, the Grand Pier’s events manager, said: “This event promises to be an all-singing, all-dancing evening of nostalgic reminiscences and top tunes.

“It demonstrates how we are trying to cater for all tastes with a programme of events and entertainments which hopefully offers something for everyone.

“For anyone who grew up in the 1970s and 80s, this is certainly a night not to be missed.”
