VISITORS to Spaxton Flower Show enjoyed a treat on Saturday afternoon (August 3).

The judges were impressed with the high standard of entries and the good weather made for an excellent show.

Top winners included Sarah Upfield who won the top prize for an outstanding exhibit with her driftwood greyhound, and Oliver Brunt landed the top spot in the children's classes.

Shelley Duggan took home three trophies in the vegetable classes meanwhile Hugh Pye picked up a trio of cups in the flowers categories.

Rachel Rood was the star entrant in the bakery and homecraft categories.

In the afternoon there were also sports and games, concluding with a men v women tug of war won by the females.There was also a display of vintage vehicles.

Organiser Nick Rigdon said: "It was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and we have had plenty of positive feedback."
