POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a crash near Glastonbury area in which a motorcyclist suffered serious head injuries.
The incident happened at around 8.30pm last night (Friday, August 2) in St Mary's Road in Meare.
The motorcyclist - a man in his 20s - was in collision with a wall and sustained serious head and facial injuries including a broken jaw.
He was taken to Southmead Hospital for treatment and it is believed his injuries are not life-threatening or life-changing.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: "We’re keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident who may have information to help our enquiries.
"We would particularly like to contact the driver of a blue Seat Leon car which was believed to be in the area at the time. We believe that he might have information to help our enquiries.
"Anyone able to help is asked to contact us, quoting reference 5219/177509."
