LONG GAME: Players from the charity netball event in 1989
MORE than 30 teams took part in a marathon netball tournament to raise charity funds in 1989.
Haygrove School was the venue for the 12-hour netball event, which raised money for the Scanner Appeal.
Teams were made up of members from carnival clubs in Bridgwater and Burnham-on-Sea.
Their efforts helped raise more than £4,000 for the appeal. Pictured are some of the players.
