VILLAGERS in Middlezoy put on a party this week in 2009 to thank everybody who has helped a mammoth village hall refurbishment project.
In the previous couple of years, the hall had a new roof, new double glazed windows, new cladding and new disabled toilets, in work costing more than £200,000.
Village hall organisers held a party to thank all the people who have supported the hall over the years, including key donors Viridor Waste, Somerset County Council and Sedgemoor District Council.
John Fisher, treasurer, said: “We had cups of tea and cake and our chairman Dave Wood gave a speech.
"It was a fantastic day.”
