WOULD you live inside a former care home for under £300 a month?
Popham Court Care Home, which consisted of The Court and Popham House, on Courtland Road, Wellington, was closed at the end of last year.
Somerset Care, the company responsible, took the decision to close the home for financial reasons.
But now, the two buildings are empty and are in need of a 'property guardian'.
The two properties, one being a 15-bed and the other 20-bed, are being marketed by Bristol-based Ad Hoc Property Management for £270 per month.
A spokesman said: "This is a fantastic opportunity to become a property guardian within this lovely period former care centre site located in the heart of Wellington.
"In need of protection, the building is offered to local professionals as accommodation as part of a Property Guardianship scheme, that's one key reason its such a good price.
"As a live-in guardian, you not only get affordable, flexible accommodation - you're also doing your bit for the community by protecting this property, simply by living in it, to help keep the building safe and in use."
The properties have double bedrooms, communal kitchens and large living spaces.
There's lots of parking and council tax and bills are included in the price.
The guardianship opportunities are listed on Rightmove.
