A YOUNG man from Minehead has died in a crash.
The 21-year-old motorcyclist lost his life after an incident on the A39 at Lynton, Devon, on Saturday (May 11).
Emergency services were called to the scene at 4.20pm following a collision between a black Peugeot 308 and a blue Kawasaki ZXR 400 motorcycle near Brendon.
A police spokesperson confirmed the young man sustained fatal injuries.
Members of the public and an off duty nurse performed CPR but he was pronounced at the scene by an air ambulance doctor.
The occupants of the car were uninjured.
The A39 was closed until 9.55pm while a forensic examination of the scene was conducted.
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Officers from the roads policing team and serious collision investigation team are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
