TRAFFIC: Road closed due to 'police incident' on busy road
A BUSY road in Brigdwater has been closed after a crash between a car and a pedestrian.
The A38 Monmouth Street is currently closed in both directions between St John Street and Bath Road while emergency services attend the incident.
Traffic is growing in the area in both directions.
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: "We were called at just before 3pm to a road traffic collision on Monmouth St in Bridgwater involving a car and a pedestrian.
"A woman was taken to hospital but was not believed to be suffering serious injury.
"The road is closed but is expected to reopen shortly."
